John Leonard Aldrich Jr

Leonard Aldrich, 89, of Vidor died Tuesday, June 13th, 2017 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home. A native of Beaumont, TX, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Leonard was a member of First Baptist Church in Vidor since 1960 and was a deacon emeritus. Leonard served his country in U.S. Army during Korean War. He retired as an unit operator from Mobil oil and enjoyed camping and fishing with the 42 club. Leonard was active in the Baptist Men's Association were they would renovate Baptist camps in Glorietta, NM and Tennessee. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday, June 16, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, June 17, 2017 at First Baptist Church with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Leonard is preceded in death by his wife Helen Frances of 61 years and daughter Sue Nell Aldrich. He is survived by his daughter Brenda Aldrich of Vidor, TX, sons Ty Aldrich and his wife Joyce Vidor, TX, Paul Aldrich and his wife Lee Ann of Vidor, TX, sisters Verna Evans of Jackson, MS and Sue Stringer of Evadale, TX, grandchildren Leslie Ann McDaniel and husband Mitchel, Brandon Paul Aldrich and wife Sheri, great grandchildren Lauryn and Leah McDaniel.
