Edgar N. Morgan, 77, of Mauriceville died Thursday, March 22, 2012 at his residence. A native of Meridian, MS, he was a longtime resident of Mauriceville, TX. Edgar was a sheet metal worker with Local Union #196/54 for 50+ years. He was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church in Mauriceville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at 10:00 am Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Hamrick Cemetery in Collinsville, MS. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home. Edgar is survived by his wife Carol Morgan, sons Dale Morgan and his wife Ginny, Donnie Morgan and his wife Sandy, daughters Ann Sowell and her husband Ralph, Amy Morgan all of Mauriceville, TX, brother Lewis Morgan and his wife Kay of Meridian, MS, 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and daddy's special angel Hope Martin. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Oakwood Church or a charity of your choice.
