Obituary:

Judson L. Price, 58, of Vidor died on Thursday, February 4, 2010 in Beaumont. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 8, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home. Jud was born November 17, 1951 in Texas City, Texas. After graduating from Lamar University he became a math teacher at Vidor High School where he taught for 37 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Price. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Patricia Ann Martin Price of Vidor; daughter Kimberly Riley and husband Matthew of Ridgecrest CA; son Jonathan Price and wife Tina of Lynden, WA, and their children Marissa, Konner, and Judson Blaise; mother, Florence Koeninger Price of Dallas TX; brothers Geoffrey Price and wife Judy of Tulsa OK, Brad Price of Jacksonville TX, Wade Price and wife Dorothy of Dallas TX; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many beloved friends. He was a member of the Orange Gun Club and BJ’s Fishing Hole. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting trap, and shared his passion of the outdoors with all he encountered. Jud devoted much of his life to his students and loved teaching. Honorary pallbearers are all former and current students, hunting and fishing buddies, family, and all his friends. He was a strong supporter of advancing students’ education. Jud’s desire was for memorials to be given to the Vidor Schools Foundation, 120 E. Bolivar St., Vidor, TX 77662. Special thanks go to all our friends, family, and students for their visitations, cards, e-mails, prayers, and pictures. These brought Jud great joy.
