Anthony 'Tony' Eugene Smith

Tony Smith, 28, of Houston died Friday, July 3, 2009 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Beaumont, he was longtime resident of Vidor before moving to Houston a year and a half ago. He was a self employed mechanic. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife Linda Smith of Houston, father Eugene L. Smith Sr of Jacksonville, FL., mother and step-father Anita and Jerry Dowers of Vidor, brothers Eugene Smith Jr of Houston, and Heath Dowers of Provo, UT., sisters Christi Dowers of Lumberton, Tosha McKusker of Silsbee, and Alicia Young of Vidor, grandparents Joyce Dennis of Vidor, Edna Leblanc of Orangefield, George Henry of Orange, Andrea Blaszak and Claude and Barbara Dowers all of Vidor, nieces Savannah Young, Mallory and Tori Little, nephews Justin Smith, Leightin Smith, Jaecob Titman, Barron Hansen, Evan Gastrell, Colton Mayea, Spencer McKusker, Ethan Young, Brian Smith, Joshua Hilton, Gavin Stanley, and Sylar Stanley.
