Beatrice Marie Carlock

November 30, 1921 — June 15, 2005

Beatrice Carlock, 83 years of age, passed away peacefully at Silsbee Convelescent Center after a short illness. She lived in Vidor for fifty-one years and was married to the late Ernest Carlock in 1938. Together they had two daughters, Tonya Foux and Brenda Turner, both of Vidor. Their legacy of love includes nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one great, great granddaughter. This loving couple raised seventeen foster children with the last one in 1972. Their door was open to any child that needed love and a home. Beatrice also had one sister Ila Smith, of Leesville, Louisiana. Burial and a graveside service will be held at Castor Cemetery in Leesville, Louisiana. Our family would like to extend their thanks to the care givers of Silsbee Convelescent Center and Odyssey Hospice for the respect and care that was given to our Mother. You are angels to us. Thank you to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor for all that was done during our time of need. Also special thanks to Leslie Gillett for being a good friend and neighbor to our Mother throughout the years. Our Mother loved.... Smelling the rain Touching a dear face Holding a baby Holding a hand Sharing time with her daughters Hugging a grandchild Enjoying music Taking a nap Reliving a memory Shedding a tear Sharing a life lesson Saying a prayer Going to the fair Visiting a friend Tending a garden Enjoying the sunset Saying I love you And teaching us to love these same simple things of life. Our Mother was loved as she loved each of us.
