Ben Burkett

Ben Burkett, 70 died Saturday, March 19th, 2016 in Vidor. A native of Joaquin, Texas Ben was a longtime resident of Vidor who worked as a steelworker in the petroleum industry. He liked to hunt and fish but mostly he enjoyed spending quality time with his loving family and friends. Ben is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jeannine Burkett, 2 sons, Douglas Burkett and wife Staci, Scooter Burkett and wife Christy, and 1 daughter, Melissa Croft and husband Terry all of Vidor. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Ben was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Burkett. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.
