Bessie Lee Allen

Bessie Lee Smith Allen, 83, passed away Tuesday, January 16th, 2018 in Port Arthur, TX. With Bess in her last few days were her four sons; Ralph(Dicky), Willy, Randy, and Lindsey Allen along with many other family members. Bess was born in Drumright, OK on October 4, 1934 to Porter B. (Dick) and Emma Lou Smith. The family moved to Vidor, TX in the late 1940's. Bess was a graduate of Vidor High School and a gifted artist. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Vidor. Bess is survived by her brother; William (Bill) Smith and his wife Brenda, nephew; Blake Smith, sons; Ralph (Dicky) Allen, Willy Allen and his wife Diana, Randy Allen, and Lindsey Allen and his wife Wendi. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.
