Betty Jane Nash

Betty J. Nash, 81, of Vidor died Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at home surrounded by her Family. She was born the daughter of a Cole Miner in Van Lear, Kentucky on May 27, 1927, the day Lindberg landed in Paris. She has lived in Vidor since 1960 and was retired from Lamar University.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home. Pastor Clayton Whitaker of Channelview will officiate.
Betty is survived by her sons Pete Nash and his wife Sharon, Riley Nash and his wife Nelda, Brian Nash and his wife Becky all of Vidor, daughters Elizabeth Weldon and her husband Johnny of Vidor, and Nicole Spurgin and her husband Michael of Allen, Texas. She has 15 grandchildren, Michael Nash, Barbera Nash, Joshua Nash, Joey Elliott, Riley Emerson Nash, Casey Weldon, Amber Nash, Raney Nash, Brianna Nash, Brooke Nash, Connor Spurgin, Brett Spurgin, Billy Odom, Jennifer Weldon, and Tiffany Edwards, and eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Tom Murphey of Columbus, Ohio, Doug Murphey of Paintsville, Kentucky and sister Susie Drury of Versailles, Kentucky.
