Betty Jean Clifton

Betty Jean Clifton, 74, of Vidor died Sunday February 15, 2004 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native Beaumont, TX., she lived in Vidor for the past 49 years. Betty worked at Wal-Mart in Vidor in the deli and as a door greeter for 20 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star Vidor Chapter #914 for over 35 years, were she is currently serving as ruth and was a past matron. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday February 18, 2004 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor , with burial to follow at Mount Zion Cemetery in Chester, TX. at 4:00 p.m.. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday February 17, 2004 at the funeral home. Betty is survived by her son Cecil Clifton of Vidor, TX., daughters: Jeanie Clouse of Beaumont, TX., Cathy Glenn of Bushnell, NE., Rosa Johnson of Carterville, GA., sisters: Amanda J.Gaskin of Beaumont, TX., Mattie Watkins of Chesapeake Beach, MD., 5 grandsons and 4 great-grandchildren.
