Brett Allen James, 50 of Groves died Sunday, January 13th, 2019 at UTMB Hospital in Galveston, TX. A native of Beaumont, TX, he was a lifelong resident of Vidor before moving to Groves 5 years ago. Brett served his county in the US Navy Reserves and was a guitarist in the band State of Mind. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Memorial Funeral Home. Brett is survived by his wife Vesta Harmon of Groves, TX, sons Cory James, Jarrod Caraway and Jaden Caraway all of Groves, TX, brother Bryan Paul James of Vidor, TX. sister Krisais James Vowles of Louisiana
