Candy Smith, 64, a longtime resident of Vidor, TX passed away on Friday, November 14th, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. She was a past president for the Chamber of Commerce of Vidor, a member of the National Realtors Association, and a former biology teacher for VISD. She contributed to numerous charities including the American Red Cross and the March of Dimes. Candy is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy of 48 years, son, Job Allen Smith and wife Kelsey of Vidor, 5 grandchildren, Cole Michalk, Paisley Harris, Gracie Harris, Shiloh Smith, and Camille Smith. Also surviving Candy are her sisters, Anna Cady and husband Mike of Spring, TX and Pat Molanders and husband Ed of Vidor. She is preceded in death by a son, Paul Smith, a daughter, Wendy Smith-Harris, parents, John and Gisela O'Quinn and brother, James O'Quinn. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 17, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Vidor. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Vidor. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.
