Carla Mae Snider 3.9.31 - 3.16.14 Our Beloved Mom, MaMaw, and friend went Home to be with the Lord on March 16, 2014 at the age of 83. She was well known for her Love of God, family and friends. She loved her kitchen and cooking for everyone. She loved going on cruises with her family and fellowship with her church family at the River of Life, and friends at the Wellness Center. She retired from VISD after 31 years of service. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of A.D. Snider of 51 years, and father Columbus Porter, mother Lucy, brother Thomas Porter and her precious little 14 year old yorkie 'Heidi'. Carla is survived by her son Elson Snider and wife Donna, daughters Belinda Snider, Althea Snider Doucet and husband Joe, son Oscar Snider and wife Carolyn, she is also survived by her grandchildren Brian Olsen and wife Christy and their two children Brianna Charles; Stephanie Parnell and husband Jarod and their daughter Hannah; Cerrissa Trevino and her husband Carl and their daughter Carli; Oscar Snider, Jr and his wife Lindsey and their three children Caleb, Kaylie, and Graham; Rachel Snider and her daughter Lexi, her brother Donald Porter, several step grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and long time friends. Viewing will be at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at River of Life Church in Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.
