Frank Ray, 81, of Vidor died Tuesday, April 12, 2011 in Vidor. A native of Downsville, LA, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Frank retired from the US Navy after 32 years of service and served during WWII and the Korean War. Frank was a machinist with Dupont for over 30 years and was a member of the Woodsman of the World and the Humane Society. He was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor and served as the Bus Minister. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Morse Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Friday, April 15, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home. Frank is survived by his son David R. Ray of Beaumont, TX, daughter Joan Walker of Vidor, TX, brothers Bobby Ray of Crockett, TX, James Ray of New Mexico, grandchildren Troy S. Copeland of Vidor, TX, Mendy Jackson of Fannett, TX, Max C. Copeland and his wife Jennifer of Vidor, TX, Carrie Hope Stanley of Vidor, TX, Heather Joy Yanez and her husband Leo of Vidor, TX, and 11 great-grandchildren.
