Charles Ray Harris

Charles R. Harris, 69, of Newton, TX., died Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital in Jasper, TX. A native of Stratton, Mississippi he has lived in Newton for 15 years, and was a retired bricklayer with Texas Coatings and Applications for 15 years. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 23, 2005 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2005 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Carol Harris of Newton, TX., son Bryan Harris of Anthem, AZ., daughter, Kay Moore of Vidor, TX., brothers, Bobby Frank Harris of Mauriceville, TX., and James Harris of Mount Belvieu, TX., sister, Charlotte Woodard of Beaumont, TX., five grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
