Charles Robert Nagel

Charles Robert Nagel, 91, of Vidor died Thursday, April 19, 2007 at his residence in Vidor. A native of Woden, TX, He has lived in Vidor since 1945. Charles served during WWII in the US Navy SeaBees on a survey crew that surveyed airstrips on islands in the South Pacific, after WWII he attended Stephen F. Austin College in Nacogdoches, TX. Charles was a Pipefitter with the Local Union #195 and was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church. He liked the outdoors, fishing, woodworking, reading, family and friends. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, April 22, 2007 at Restlawn Memorial Park of Vidor, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home. Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Rozene Nagle and survived by his son Larry Nagle of Vidor, TX. and his daughter Judy Whitman and her Husband Ronnie Whitman of Vidor, TX, Grandchildren Gretchen Guseman and her husband Sam of Austin TX, Nathan Whitman and his wife Adrienne of Broussard, LA, Lori Smith of Vidor, TX, Chris Nagel and his wife Taryn of Mauriceville, TX, and 5 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Texas Total Care staff and his loving care givers: Melissa Bickum, Gwen Smith, Janet Moore, Barbara Johnson, Sharon Black and Lynette Garrett.
