Charles Tennie Ashworth

December 25, 1944 — June 27, 2004

Charles D. Ashworth, 59, of Orange, died Sunday, June 27, 2004 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. A native of DeQuincy, LA, he lived in Orange for the past 30 years. Charles retired from the Beaumont Police Department after 32 years and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at 1st Pentecostal Church in Starks, LA., under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at VFW Community Cemetery in Starks, LA. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor and 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at 1st Pentecostal Church in Starks, LA. Charles is survived by his wife of 36 years Linda Ashworth of Orange, TX., sons: Chris Ashworth and his wife Nancy of Orange, TX., Mark Ashworth and his wife Mandy of Nederland, TX., Jeff Ashworth and his wife Jessica of Cleveland, TX., daughter: Tara Myers and her husband Russell of Bridge City, TX., brother: Odis Ashworth and his wife Jackie of Starks, LA., 5 grandchildren: Brittney, Madelon, Keagan, Hunter, and Lillian.
