Darlene Perkins

Darlene Perkins, 68, of Vidor died Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Gary, IN, she was a lifetime resident of Vidor. Darlene was an Art Teacher and painted the back drops at Julia Rogers Theater for Sound of Music. She was a member of the Lion's Club and was a homemaker. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Monday, October 17, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home. Darlene was preceded in death by her grandson Canaan Lane Ivey. She is survived by her son Patrick Perkins of Houston, TX, daughter Becky Lou Perkins of Vidor, TX, sisters Phyliss Wunsch and Mary Lou Baker both of Vidor, TX, Vera Dean Thornhill of Call, TX, grandson Joshua Cooper.
