David Edward Van Huis

David E. Van Huis, 34 of Vidor died Wednesday, June 2nd, 2021 at his residence. A native of Oak Lawn, IL, we was a longtime resident of Vidor. David was a member of Community Church in Orange and was a machinist with Bun Electric in Vidor for years. He loved his mustangs and enjoyed gardening and building rock gardens. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Friday, June 11, 2021 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the funeral home with cremation to follow. David was preceded in death by his brother Ryan Van Huis, grandparents; Ed and Ruth Van Huis and Ron and Roseann Bal. He is survived by his parents; Mark and Cynthia Van Huis of Vidor, TX 1 sister; Sarah Van Huis and her husband Aaron Jones of Mauricevile, 2 brothers; Jeremy Van Huis of Groves, TX and Jacob Van Huis of Vidor. He is also survived by 2 nieces; Julia Menard and Madaline Jones, 2 nephews; Lijiah Menard and Zachary Jones and along with numerous aunts and uncles.
