Donald L. McCoy, 80 of Vidor passed away at his home in Vidor on August 2, 2007 with his loving family at his side. A native of DeQuincy, LA., he has lived in Vidor for 60 years, and was a retired service department supervisor with Sears, after 40+ years of faithful service. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 6, 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor, TX. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 5, 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home. Its hard to give up someone we all love so much because he was different, special and unique in a thousand ways. The hardest thing we’ll ever have to do is getting along without him. He cannot go beyond our thoughts or leave our love behind, because he is in our hearts and will be forever on our minds. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years Bernice McCoy of Vidor, sons Donnie McCoy and his wife Janet of Vidor, Blue McCoy of Vidor, Brian D. McCoy, Sr. and his wife Lisa of Frankston, TX., David McCoy and his wife Lynn of Vidor, daughter Cheryl Nick and her husband Andy of Tyler, TX., thirteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Pallbearers for the service will be: Johnny Humberson, Jr., Mark Humberson, Daniel Nick, Cary Don McCoy, Bubba McCoy, Jarrod McCoy, Dana McCoy, Jr., and Ryan McCoy.
