Dorothy M. Newton, 84, of Vidor died Sunday, June 7, 2009 in Vidor. A native of Beaumont, she has lived in Vidor since 1937, and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Vidor VFW. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 8, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husbands Frank Newton and Buford W. Duvall, parents Robert and Myrtle Revia, and sisters Gertie Mathues and Doris Baker. She is survived by her sons Howard E. Duvall and wife Linda of Beaumont, Raymond L. Duvall and his wife Janet of Vidor, and Wesley D. Duvall of Beaumont, daughter Betty Sheffield and husband Gayle of Beaumont, sisters Rosie Whitmire of Vidor, Mary Bartholdi of Kountze, Alice Cessac of Vidor, and Joan Johnson of Spurger, three grandchildren: Kim Outlaw, William Duvall, and James Duvall, and one great-grandchild Landes Outlaw.
