Douglas Owen Thornhill, Sr

Douglas O. Thornhill, Sr., 82, of Vidor died Friday, July 16, 2004 at his residence in Vidor. Douglas was born on February 2, 1922 in Merryville, LA., he had resided in Vidor for the past 34 years where he was a retired dump truck driver. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2004 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2004 at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife Vera Thornhill, son: James Thornhill of Sealy, TX., Douglas Thornhill, Jr. of Vidor, TX., daughter: Anna Lechinger of Vidor, TX., and special granddaughter: Tammy Williams of Call, TX., 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
