Dwight “The Telephone Man” Shores, 60, of Vidor died Thursday, January 6, 2005 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX. A native of Vivian, LA., he has lived in Vidor since 1983, and was a retired U.S. Postal Worker from the U.S. Post Office in Beaumont. Memorial services will be Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Dwight is survived by his brother Lemuel Shores of Lake Charles, LA., and sister, June Peveto of Orange, TX., and a host of Family and Friends in Vidor. Dwight was also known as “The Cigar Man”, and “The Coffee Man” around Vidor for many years. He will be greatly missed.
