Earl "E.J." Jacob Chambers

E.J. Chambers, 87, of Evadale died Friday, July 10th, 2015 at Baptist Hospital of South East Texas in Beaumont. A native of Jasper, TX, he was a longtime resident of Evadale. E.J. retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Plant in Beaumont after 28 years as a mechanic. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Evadale. E.J. was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardner and an all around outdoorsman, but most of all he enjoyed and loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Central Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 pm Monday, July 13, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. E.J. is survived by his wife of 67 years Rose Chambers of Evadale, TX, sons Mike Chambers and his wife Jackie of Houston, TX, Bryan Chambers and his wife Dawn of Mont Belvieu, TX, daughters Karen Gifford and husband Bill of Mont Belvieu, TX, Cheryl Bertrand and husband Robert of Evadale, TX, sister Geraldine Linza of Houston, TX, 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. In lieu of flower donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
