Earline Tucker Matthews

Earline T. Matthews, 79, of Vidor died Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Silsbee Convalescent Center in Silsbee, TX. A native of Call, TX., she has lived in Vidor for 53 years and was a homemaker. Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at North Main Church of Christ in Vidor, and Mr. Mark Legendre will be officiating the services. Earline was a beloved wife, mother, Nanee, and a true woman of many talents. Earline was preceded in death by her husband James "Dick" Matthews, parents Frank and Kate Tucker, and her brother Raymond Tucker. She is survived by her daughters Michele Linda Matthews, and Sharon Kay Hight and husband Jimmy all of Vidor, brothers Dorman Tucker of Channelview, and Jerry Tucker of Vidor, sisters Kathy Watts and husband Tommy of Port Neches, Gloria Guidry and husband Gene, Alice Springfield, and sister-in-law Margaret Tucker all of Vidor, three grandchildren: Lance Jones and wife Pazley, Billy Hight, and Jamie Hight, one great grandson James Jones, and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. The family would like to give special thanks to The Silsbee Convalescent Center and Odyssey Hospice for all their loving care.
