Eddie Nels Johnson

Vidor resident Eddie Nels Johnson, age 54 has gone home to be with the Lord April 27, 2015, at his home in Vidor. Eddie was born May 17, 1960 in Port Arthur, Texas to his mother Shirley Hogg and father Nels O. Johnson Jr.. Eddie graduated from Vidor High School and lived in Vidor most of his life. Eddie served in the United States Air Force for 4 years working as a heavy machinery mechanic. this trade served him well for many more years to come. Eddie loved fishing when he got the chance and watching his T.V. shows like M.A.S.H., Walker Texas Ranger and Deadliest Catch. He was also a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church of Vidor. Eddie is preceded in death by his father Nels O. Johnson Jr. and his step father George D. Hogg. He is survived by his mother Shirley Hogg, wife Rhonda Johnson, his two sons Kenneth and Patrick Johnson, step sons Al and Jeremy Villanueva and 14 grandchildren. Eddie has also left behind two step sisters Mamie Johnson and Kellie Freeman and one step brother Buster Hogg. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Orange. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Tuesday, April 27, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home.
