Edgar Sampson 'Ed' Hemphill, Jr.

Edgar Hemphill, Jr., 60, of Vidor died Monday, October 10, 2011 at his residence. A native of Victoria, TX., he was a longtime resident of Vidor. He was a carpenter with Local Union #502 and a member of Turning Point Church in Vidor. Ed was a member of the Vidor Masonic Lodge # 1286, and an avid fisherman. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Turning Point Church of Vidor, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home. Ed is survived by his wife Mary Holderby Hemphill, the mother of his children Debbie Moore, daughters LaDonna Marks and husband Michael, Mandy Dorman, Amy Bridges and husband Neal, brother Kenneth Hemphill and his wife Linda, sisters Dawn Westman and her husband Ray all of Vidor, and Shawn Lemoine and her husband Chad of Port Neches, six grandchildren: Blane, Corey, Carley, Gracie, Braden, and Emma. Other family members Jack “PeePaw” and Joy “MeeMaw” Fredrick of Beaumont.
