Edrie Elmo Root Jr.

Edrie Elmo Root Jr., 78, of Vidor died Wednesday, August 11th, 2021, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. He was a lifetime resident of Vidor and a member of Central Baptist Church, he retired from being a truck driver for Transit Mix for 30 years. He loved to go fishing. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. There will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 20th, 2021 at Restlawn Memorial Park.
Edrie is survived by his son Robert Root of Lumberton, TX, his brother Al Root of Vidor, TX, and his sister Margie Stringer of Spring, TX, as well as 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
