Eileena King

Our dear mother, Eileena King sadly passed away on December 30th, 2022, at the age of 63. She was born on January 13th, 1959 in Port Arthur Texas to the proud parents of Herbert Lionel King Jr & Carolyn Ivy Dorman King. Eileena was a proud member of Vidor High School, class of 1977. She participated in many extracurricular activities such as, U.I.L., the Vidor Pirate Drill Team, and drama club. She was extremely smart and talented & deeply cherished the time spent with family and friends. She loved to share the word of God with others and was spiritually, academically, and emotionally supportive. She was a giver and not a taker & loved her family and took pleasure in the company of her loved ones. Eileena would often take trips to the beach or anywhere near the waters edge. She was a peaceful person and didn’t mind going on a trip or rushing to a loved one’s aid at any given notice. Eileena enjoyed traveling and would frequently snap a photo to capture the moment. She cherished memories and would often encourage others to participate and be a part of them. Although her means were limited, that never stopped her from giving. She gave all she could to the Lord and her loved ones. She was a privilege to have known. “We are from this world, but not of it” Eileena was preceded in death by her loving father Herbert Lionel King Jr., her mother Carolyn Ivy Dorman King, her brother Calvin "Craig" King, and her brother Roger Colin King. Eileena is survived and missed by her three children. Amanda (Andy) Stark, Laura (Tony) Poff, and Joshua (Lori) Bordwell. She had seven wonderful grandchildren. Haleigh, Allie, & Andrew Stark – children of Amanda & Andy Stark. Tyler Pickering - son of Laura & Tony Poff. Noah, Aiden, & Jackson Bordwell – children of Joshua & Lori Bordwell. She was blessed with her first great grandchild. Brylee Dietze – daughter of Haleigh Stark. She will be missed by her three siblings. Her brother - David (Susan) King; sister - Janeen (Robin) Ryherd; and sister - Susan (Mark) Ryherd.

Services for Eileena will be held at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor located: 1750 Hwy 12 Vidor, TX 77662 on January 8th,2023 @ 2:00 PM CST. She will be laid to rest in the Williamson Cemetery located 8 miles north of Vidor, Texas on hwy 105.
