Eleanor Lucille Parker

Eleanor L. Parker, 91, of Vidor died Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home of Vidor. A native of Beaumont, Eleanor was a longtime resident of Vidor, and a homemaker. Eleanor was a member of Pecan Acres Baptist Church in Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Home. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years Berry Louis Parker, son William 'Bill' Green Parker, parents Samuel George and Willie Beatrice Vanderwater Esclavon, brother Joseph Henry Esclavon, sisters Hazel Ainsworth, Georgie Samuelson, and Irene 'Nootsie' Mercer. Eleanor is survived by her son David Michael Parker of Evadale, daughters Myra Trahan, and Linda Parker both of Vidor, brother J. D. Esclavon of Mt. Vernon, TX., sister Lois Taylor of Vidor, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two on the way.
