Elizabeth Ann Gordy

Elizabeth A. Gordy 92, of Vidor died Sunday, November 19, 2006 at San Augustine Memorial Medical Center in San Augustine, TX. A native of Batesville, TX., she has lived in Vidor for 60 years and was a homemaker. She was the salutatorian of her graduating class, a music teacher, and a proud member of the Civil Defense Service Organization. Graveside services will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2006, and all day visitation from 8:00a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert H. Gordy, and her son Earl Herbert Gordy. She is survived by her daughters Linda Williford of Pineland, TX., and Eva Lunsford of Orange, TX., six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
