Erick Mathron Zuber

Erick M. Zuber, 90, of Vidor died Thursday, December 18, 2008 at Christus St. Marys Hospital in Port Arthur, TX. A native of Dozier, AL., he has lived in Vidor since 1945, and was a retired salesman with Sears Department Store. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and the Korean War and later retired after 20 years of faithful service. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8246, American Legion Vidor Post 112, Knights of Columbus , Fleet Reserve, and the Legion of Mary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 22, 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 21, 2008 with a Christian Vigil to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home. Erick is survived by his wife of 63 years Nettie Zuber of Vidor, sons Erick F. Zuber of Baytown, and Keith Zuber and his wife Colleen of Kerrville, sister Azonell (Nell) Hudchins of GA., and one granddaughter Jennifer Zuber-Garrison and her husband Trey of Spring, TX.
