Ethel Smith, 71, of Vidor died Tuesday, November 14, 2006 in Vidor. A native of Alto, TX, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Ethel was a homemaker and a member of Old Faith Chapel Baptist Church in Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2006 at Old Faith Chapel Baptist Church, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2006 at Old Faith Chapel Baptist Church. Ethel is survived by her husband Billy Joe Smith, Sr. of Vidor, TX, sons: Billy Smith, Jr. and William Smith Both of Vidor, TX , daughters: Alta Okun of Lumberton, TX, Johnnie Lawson of Vidor, TX, brothers: Johnnie Collins of Willis, TX, Joe Collins of Vidor, TX, sister: Bernice Reed of Pasadena, TX, 16 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
