Everette "Smitty" Ray Smith

November 11, 1934 — February 15, 2015

Everette Ray Smith, 80, of Vidor died Sunday, February 15, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Shreveport, LA, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Everette was a retired Parts Salesman for Central Auto Parts and served his country before and during the Vietnam Era. He had received the Citizen of the Year from Agricultural Extension Services. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home of VIdor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Monday, February 16, 2015 at Memorial Funeral Home. Everette was preceded in death by his son Rusty Smith. He is survived by his wife Paula Smith, sons Everette Paul Smith, Les Patrick Smith and his wife Melissa, Wesley Arthur Smith and his wife Janna all of Vidor, TX, daughter Cynthia Copeland and her husband Billy of Lumberton, TX, 6 grandchildren Jessica Aldridge and her husband Winston, Austin Copeland, Kaylyn Smith, Colton Smith, Jerreaca and Sember and several great grandchildren
