Flora Pearl Davidson

Flora Davidson went to be with our Lord on March 19, 2007. She was born on July 30, 1921 in Lenox, Georgia. Her parents were James Allen and Lola Belle Touchstone Cannington. Flo married Frank “J” Davidson of New Carlisle, OH. on December 27, 1945, at her family home in Lenox. He preceded her in death August 2, 2002. Frank and Flo lived for many years in Valdosta, GA., and moved to Vidor, TX., in 1967. The Lord blessed their marriage with two children; a son Raymond Allen Davidson of Great Bend, KS., and Ann Sharon Davidson Monk of Lumberton, TX. Flo was a full-time mother and homemaker who was actively involved in the family’s lives in scouting, church mission organizations, and school activities. She loved gardening, and caring for her bird friends. She especially enjoyed watching her hummingbirds at the kitchen window each day. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Vidor, TX., and a former member of Lee Street Baptist Church in Valdosta, GA. Flo is survived by her children, five grand and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Billy, Fred and J. B. Cannington; sisters June Scott and Lou Robeson. Burial will take place in Ohio at the Casstown Cemetery with graveside services on Saturday, March 24, 2007. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the local church library of your choice.
