Frances Lopez Vogel

Frances L. Vogel, 93, of Vidor died Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont, TX. Frances was born in Hardin, Texas and graduated from Beaumont High School in 1942. She was married to Jerome P. Vogel for 67 years. A devout Southern Baptist, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Vidor and a charter member of Templo Baptiste, where she served as the financial secretary for many years. Everyone knew her as a Christian leader, teacher and counselor for all her life. She was the first lady of the Masonic Grand Lodge of Texas in 1992, as the wife of the Grand Master. She felt her greatest accomplishments were teaching her 3 children, 3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren that they should always love the Lord and always lean on Him for everything! She was preceded in death by her husband Jerome P. Vogel and beloved son Morris John Vogel. Also 2 brothers Ross and Michael Lopez, 3 sisters Lucy Granda, Elvira Krummel and Emma Orena. Francis is survived by her daughter Miriam Vogel Hodges and husband Russell, son Jerome P. Vogel II and wife Brenda and a daughter of the heart Anna Yvette Gonzalez. She has 2 granddaughters Donna Keel and husband Billy, Deana Moorman and husband James, 1 grandson Danny Hodges and wife Anna, 4 great grandsons Justin and Bryson Keel, Trey and Jack Hodges, 3 great granddaughters Rylee, Julee and Jamie Moorman. She has a step-granddaughter Amber Baca and husband Elvin, 2 step great granddaughters Brooklin Potvin and Malani Baca, 1 step grandson Brendan Baca. She is also survived by a brother Jesse Lopez and a sister Conseulo Dela Rosa. Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Monday, November 27, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 am Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Vidor with entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
