Fred Lyles Brown, Sr.

Fred L. Brown, 85, of Vidor died Monday, July 11, 2011 at his residence. A native of Waycross, GA., he has lived in Vidor since 1974 and was a CPA Attorney, and a controllerfor Roger Brothers Enterprisesin Beaumont. He served his country in the United States Navy. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 6198 North FM 105, Vidor, Texas 77662, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 to 9:00 pm on Friday, July 15, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home. Fred was preceded in death by his parents E. Harry and Viola Brown, sisters Magdalene Grindstaff and Barbara Walker. He is survived by his wife Macksene Brown of Vidor, sons Fred L. Brown, Jr of Grand Prairie, TX., George E. Brown of Palatka, FL., Stacey K. Brown of Pearland,TX., Bruce W. Brown, and Mack E. Brown both of Vidor, daughters Bonnie B. Chadwick of Carrollton, TX., Marty J.Johanson of Katy, TX., and Charlene Ashworth of Vidor, sister Bertha Mae Kingsbury of Salt Lake City, UT., forty grandchildren, and sixty great grandchildren.
