Freddie Eugene Norton

Freddie E. Norton, 91, of Vidor died Friday, March 3, 2006 at his residence. A native of Nacogdoches, TX., he has lived in Vidor since 1942, and was a retired welder with Ideco in Beaumont, TX. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2006 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years Ida Belle Norton, parents, Minor and Sulie Norton, and grandson David Norton. He is survived by his sons, Doyle E. Norton, and Robert L. Norton and his wife Linda all of Vidor, daughters, Shirley Norton McLain and husband Lester of Vidor, Cecile Norton Webb and husband Ronny , and Freddie Belle Patsy Clark and husband Tommy all of Hemphill, TX., sister, Jessie Lee Scallorn of Freeport, TX., nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
