Garry Edward Ellis Sr.

Garry E. Ellis, 65, of Vidor died Monday, October 7, 2013 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Lewiston, ID, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Garry served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a 35 year member of the American Legion. Garry was involved in local sports with his two sons. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, October 14, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. A gathering for family and friends will begin at 6:00 pm Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Home. Garry was preceded in death by his father Clarence Edward Ellis, Jr. He is survived by his wife Kathy Bergeron Ellis of Vidor, TX, sons Garry Edward Ellis, Jr and his wife Rebecca Sumner of Silsbee, TX, Josh Aaron Ellis of Vidor, TX, mother Dorothy Ellis of Lewiston, ID, brother Larry E. Ellis of Kootenai, ID, sisters Carolyn Goodman of Lewiston, ID, Diane Yates of Moscow, ID, 2 grandchildren Olivia Sumner-Ellis and Edward Brian Sumner-Ellis both of Silsbee, TX.
