1st /Sgt. Gerald B. Baillie, 82, of Vidor died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at his residence. A native of Tarpon Springs, FL., he has lived in Vidor for 5 years. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War and retired as a 1st/ Sgt. with the Army Rangers. Cremation arrangements were entrusted with Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to take place at a later date at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Gerald was preceded in death by his son Mark Everett Baillie, parents Albert and Leola Baillie, brothers Albert David Baillie, Jr., and Samuel Baillie, sisters Gwendolyn Baillie, Eleanor Baillie, and Carol Baillie. He is survived by his wife Kay Baillie of Vidor, daughters Geraldine Kay Baillie Crawford and husband John Paul of Starke, FL., and Jill Baillie of Vidor, sisters Elizabeth Baillie of Holiday, FL., and Rev. Barbara Kuehn Shope of Jacksonville, FL., four grandchildren: Camaro Bryan Godwin and Jennifer J. Godwin, Vivian Kay Crawford, and Nikki Rae Baillie, five great grandchildren: Bryan Everette Godwin, Toby Godwin, Willis Godwin, Jillian Baillie Godwin, and Ian Michael Crawford.
