Gilbert Adam Revia

Gilbert Adam (Buck) Revia, 92 of Vidor, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, August 11th, 2020. Born in Kountze on June 10th, 1928 to Louie L. and Amy Geldard Revia, Buck was the youngest of 11 children. After moving to Vidor in the 30's he met and married the love of his life Marjorie Johnson. They celebrated 75 years of marriage on June 11. Born to them were 5 children - Judith Revia Pillow, Larry Gilbert, Steven Keith, Sheila Revia Simmons and Scott Randall Revia. Buck was a carpenter by trade, having been mentored by his father-in-law Charlie Johnson. He never met a stranger and once he met you, he remembered you for life. Buck accepted Jesus as his Savior and was a faithful member of Rose City Baptist Church. He was a soul winner till the end. He spent many years volunteering with Lunches of Love. Preceded in death by his sons Steven Keith and Larry Gilbert and his daughter Sheila Gayle. Survived by his bride Marjorie, daughter Judy, son Scott, and sister Norma LeBlanc of Vidor. Grandchildren Ami Hall, Trent Pillow, Adam Revia, Ben Simmons, Kris Revia and Eric Revia. Great grandchildren Alex, Bret, and Caleb Hall, Alden Revia, Shelby, Morgan and Gavyn Simmons, Hunter and Mason Revia and Callan Revia, and Great Great Grandson Knox Baron Hall. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm and funeral services will start at 2:00 pm Friday, August 14, 2020 at Rose Baptist Church in Rose City with burial to follow at Holland Cemetery in Kountze. Any contributions can be made to Rose City Baptist Church building fund in honor of Gilbert "Buck" Revia.
