Gilbert Lee Cox

Gilbert L. Cox, 73, of Vidor died Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. A native of Casa Grande, AZ., Gilbert was a longtime resident of Vidor, and a retired salesman with Smart's Truck and Trailer in Beaumont. Gilbert served his country in the United States Army. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 3, 2014 at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home. Gilbert is survived by his wife Sandra Jean Cox of Vidor, daughters Pam Cox of Vidor, Peggy Jackson and husband Tommy of Silsbee, and Robin Root and husband Robert of Vidor, brother Weldon Cox of Prescott, AZ., sisters Sharon Fowler of Phoenix, AZ., and Phyllis Gonzales of Sun City, AZ., three grandchildren Kevin Cox, Jessica Sims, and Jordan Root, and two great grandchildren Kaiden Cox, and Payton Sims.
