Grace Carol Cloyd

November 19, 1965 — March 18, 2024

Grace Carol Cloyd, age 58, of Silsbee, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 18th, 2024, at her residence. Grace, a native of Beaumont, TX, had been a beloved member of the community, residing in Vidor for many years before settling in Silsbee six years ago. Grace dedicated herself to caring for others as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), serving tirelessly at Silsbee Convalescent Nursing Home for many years. Her compassionate nature and nurturing spirit touched the lives of countless patients and colleagues alike. Outside of her profession, Grace found joy in the simple pleasures of life. An adventurous soul, Grace had a passion for riding her motorcycle, feeling the wind against her face as she explored the open road. She cherished the camaraderie of her closest friends, fondly referred to as "her girls," with whom she shared laughter and memories that will be treasured forever. Grace found solace in the music of Crossroads Band, often attending their performances to immerse herself in the rhythm and melodies that resonated with her soul. Above all, Grace cherished her time spent with her grandchildren, whose smiles brought immense joy and warmth to her heart. She adored being a grandmother and embraced every opportunity to create lasting memories with her beloved grandchildren. Grace is survived by her loving daughter, Nichole Kendrick and spouse Brent Robin of Lumberton, TX, her five adoring grandsons, and her devoted boyfriend, Nick Matlage of Buna, TX. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. In honor of Grace's memory and her compassionate spirit, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choosing in lieu of flowers. Grace's legacy of kindness and generosity will continue to live on through the charitable acts of those who loved her. Grace's vibrant spirit and unwavering kindness will be remembered fondly by all whose lives she touched. May she rest in peace, forever cherished and eternally loved.
