Greg Dyer

Gregory Nicholas Dyer passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 in Park County, Colorado. He was 54 years old.
Greg was born on 4/7/1966 in Aspen, CO to John Christopher Dyer and Sally Dyer. He spent most of his early childhood enjoying the beautiful scenery surrounding Aspen. The family moved to San Diego, California for a few years where they were first exposed to the joys of boating and had many happy memories living on a sailboat and making trips to Catalina Island. The family eventually settled in Medford, Oregon. He graduated from St. Mary’s Highschool in Medford, Oregon. After graduating from Highschool, Greg faithfully served 2 years as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
College was spent at Brigham Young University, Provo for undergraduate degree and received his Master’s in Marketing from The University of Arizona, Tucson. While in Arizona working on his Masters, he met his future wife, Angie Williamson. They met through their church and story goes that he “liked her even better after meeting her parents.” They went on to build their family with 3 wonderful daughters. Greg loved being a father. He built a successful Pest Control business to help support his family and being active in the community was a highlight in his life. Greg was involved in the Prosper, TX Rotary Club as well as on the board of the Prosper Education Foundation. He truly loved to serve others. He loved the outdoors and spent many hours with various cycling groups. Greg had such a zest for life and believed in living life to its fullest. He was the greatest friend and brought joy to all he met.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 8, 2020 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 9, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints with interment to follow at Williamson Cemetery.
Greg is survived by his wife Angela Williamson Dyer; children Samantha Dyer, Natalie Dyer and Susanna Dyer; parents John Christopher Dyer and Sally Dyer; siblings John Dyer III, Paige Allan, Ashley Gelman and Carter Dyer; Father and Mother- in-law Joe and Leslie Williamson.
Memorial may be made for Greg to the Prosper, Texas Rotary Club or the Prosper Education Foundation.
