Handley Bryan Jones

Handley B. Jones, 83, of Vidor born September 30, 1923 in Pluck, TX., and died Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. A native of Pluck, TX., he has lived in Vidor for 3 years and was a retired pipe fitter with Local # 195, and was a longshoreman with the ILA. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. His later years were devoted serving in the Masonic Lodge in Silsbee, and visiting his friends. Cremation arrangements were entrusted with Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, and a memorial services will be held at a later date. He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Dura Jones, and five siblings. He is survived by his wife of 26 years Sara Jones of Vidor, daughter Kayla of Albuquerque, NM., brothers Clinton Jones, Jean Jones of Houston, Ralph Jones of Beaumont, and Clarence Jones of Crystal Beach, sister Mozelle of Tomball, TX., three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to : your local ASPCA.
