Harold Dean Morphis

Harold Dean Morphis of Vidor, Texas, passed away peacefully in the presence of family on March 7th, 2023.

Harold was born to Harold J. and Edna Byrd Morphis on October 4th, 1941, in Okemah, Oklahoma. Harold moved to Vidor in 1951 and graduated from Vidor High School in 1959. Harold went on to a career at Eastex in Evadale. He then went on to complete his degree in Economics at Lamar University and graduated in 1970. In 1998 he retired and spent his time on woodworking, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Jasper and Edna Lorene Morphis and grandson Camden Alan Naismith. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Norma and two children, Alan and wife Katrina and Andrea and husband James. He is also survived by his grandchildren William, Lora, John, and Sarah, and his sister, Helen Evans.

Services will be held at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor beginning with a visitation Friday, March 10, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 2:00 PM with a graveside to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor, TX.
