Hattie Pearl Young

Hattie P. Young, 86, of Vidor died Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Oak Wood Nursing Home in Vidor. A native of Hemphill, TX, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Hattie was retired from Pine Forest Elementary School where she worked in the cafeteria. She was a member of Dwelling Place Church of God. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. A gathering for family and friends will begin at 6:00 pm Monday, April 28, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home. Hattie was preceded in death her husband Freddie G. Young, sons Freddie W. Young and Michael Young, grand Mark Cole and Bobbie Crow, son-in-law Levi 'Smokey' Crow. She is survived by her son Gordon Young and his wife Patricia of Vidor, TX, daughters Pearl Stanley and her husband Danny of Buna, TX, Pam Crow of Beaumont, TX, brother Wendell Kelley of Willis, TX, 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 3 great great- grandchildren.
