Helen Josephine Daigle

Helen Josephine Daigle was born January 29, 1929 in Lewisburg, LA. Jesus called her home on October 2, 2011. As a young couple, our Mom and Dad moved to Texas in 1948 and started a family that has grown to include 12 children, 29 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother leaving us with many warm and comforting memories that will continue to encourage and guide us through this most difficult time. For example, “Mama” always said “Remember, Jesus loves you and he will never give you more than you can handle. Whatever the job or circumstance, He will give you the tools you need to do it and the means to accomplish His will.” With God\'s loving mercy, we pray our family will find comfort knowing our “Most Precious Mama” is now home with “Daddy” and our Heavenly Father rejoicing in the kingdom of Heaven. In closing we are united in knowing that “Mama and Daddy” are watching over us and praying for us. We are reminded of what Jesus said, “I will not leave you orphan, I have carved you in the palm of my hand.” And to that we say... “God said it, we believe it and that settles it.” Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor. She will be laid to rest at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm and a Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm on Monday, October 3, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home.
