Helen Ruth Massingill, 80, of Gist died Wednesday, February 16, 2011 in Zavalla, Texas. A native of Blox, TX, she was a longtime resident of Gist, TX. Helen was a homemaker and was a member of the New Cherry Groves Baptist Church in Gist. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Kings Cemetery in Hartstburg, TX. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home. Helen is survived by her daughters Delight Domingue of New Iberia, LA, Sharlotte Nolan of Vidor, TX, Aris Gibbins of Mauriceville, TX, and Vel Williams of Mauriceville, TX, sister Doris Blau of Huntsville, TX, 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
