Henry E. Laque, Jr. 82, of Vidor, passed away on March 26, 2012, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Henry was born on June 23, 1929, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Henry E. Laque, Sr., and Norma Vaught Laque. After graduating high school in Lafayette, Louisiana, he enlisted into the United States Marine Corp. serving as a sergeant in the Korean Conflict for four years. He later moved to Beaumont, Texas, where he worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad as a switchman and conductor. He retired after forty years of service. Henry is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Dolores Trouard Laque, daughters, Lisa Bounds and her husband, Allan, of the Woodlands, Texas; Sue Terrill-Golias and her husband Joe, of Beaumont, Texas; Dette Toups and her husband Steven, also of Beaumont, Texas; sister, Norma Peloquin of Lafayette, Louisiana; grandchildren Grant Bounds, Brooke Terrill, and Taylor and Reese Toups. He is remembered by all loved ones as a very spiritual, patriotic, and faithful person. All last respects are taking place in Vidor, Texas. A visitation will begin at 6:00 pm with a 7:00 pm Rosary on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, 1750 Hwy. 12. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, March 30, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1600 N. Main Street , under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, 2725 North Main St.
