Hursey Cecil Smith

Hursey C. Smith, 87, of Vidor died Saturday, September 5, 2009 at his residence. Hursey was born on October 09,1921 in Arm, MS to Lonnie and Maude Smith. Hursey retired from Mobile Oil after 31 years as an operator and served his country in the US Army during WWII. He was a member of Northwest Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 6, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home. Hursey is survived by his wife Gabrella Smith of Vidor, TX, sons Kendall Smith and his wife Lucy of Vidor, TX, Michael Smith and his wife Nancy of Nacogdoches, TX, daughters JoAnn Burks of Orange, TX, and Marsha Smith of Vidor, TX, 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
